Pay John Lewis Cleaners a Living Wage

Oxford St, London. Sat 3 Jan 2015

A woman holds a poster stating that 127,865 people had signed the petition to John Lewis calling for cleaners

to be paid the London Living Wage. They had been promised this after taking action two years ago, but

the promise had not been kept. John Lewis are not prepared to put pressure on their contractor to pay a decent wage

 'Justice for the Cleaners'

IWGB (Independent Workers Union of, Great Britain) General Secretary Alberto Durango holds copies of some of the ,

comments made by John Lewis customers who signed the petition. Today's protest was also against the police brutality
when they made three arrests during a protest by the IWGB at John Lewis last month.

Several people read out the statements by John Lewis customers at intervals during the protest

A woman holds up a message from a John Lewis customer who is boycotting them until they treat their cleaners properly
