Grow Heathrow's 5th Birthday

 John McDonnell was the first to speak, putting Grow Heathrow in to context,

 both of the campaign against the third runway and the Climate Camp held nearby

 and the radical trade union tradition in local industries.

 

 

 

 

 

  There was a packed audience of perhaps 50 people for these talk
 
Tristram Stuart, one of the pioneers of the radical food movement with his 2009 book on food waste

and the Feedback charity spoke on how this is now an international issue,

and the importantance avoiding this becoming simply corporate greenwash.   

Davide Graeber talked about democracy, 

and how we need to find new ways to eliminate unnecessary control,

with examples from the Spanish civil war and currently in Rojava,  

where the contstitution is based on the anarchist ideas of the late Murray Bookchin.
