Sweets Way & West Hendon at Barnet Council

Barnet Town Hall, London. Wed 13 May 2015

I stand behind the security men who are gradually managing to push the crowd outside back

and eventually they lock the door, with me still inside

through a side window to the lobby I can see across another room and notice people trying to climb in through

an open window, and start taking pictures

There isn't a totally clear view

and soon a security man is holding up a coat to try and block the view further

Eventuall I can get outside and photograph from in front of the windwo which is still held open

In the jostling my lens hood has been knocked askew, and I take quite a few pictures before noticing it, as I have to hold the camera above my head and can't see through the viewfinder

Even when I can use the viewfinder, in the excitement of the moment I fail to see the lenshood in the picture

Finally I notice and put it straight

Security are stopping protesters from going in to the public meeting.
They have told me I won't be let back in after I took pictures inside

So I decide it's time I went home
