Cody Dock Opening for 'The Line'

Cody Dock, West Ham, London. Sat 23 May 2015

People approach the red ribbon across the exit on 'The Line' going north from Cody Dock

Simon Myers, who realised the potential of the derelict gas works dock and has led its redevelopment

A local councillor who has backed the project

One of the partners in the project

and a Cody Dock volunteer snips the ribbon and 'The Line' is open

and celebrations continue

The Pergola put in by the RHS leads south, and hopefully fairly soon will lead to a walkway by the river to Canning Town.

At the moment the footpath ends at a wall
