Reinstate the Sotheby's 2 at car auction

Battersea Park, London. Mon 7 Sep 2015

Protesters met at Battersea park station and vera Weghmann hands out the UVW posters

From there they walked the short distance towards Battersea Park

and formed up as a march with a couple of banners

and placards with pictures of the Sotheby's 2, Perch and Barbara, sacked for protesting outside Sotheby's in New Bond St

The United Voices of the World banner leads the protesters into Battersea Park

They had hoped to drive in with the sound system, but had to push it along the Eastern Carriage Drive

UVW and Unite the Resistance banners lead the march

and police stop it at the entrance to Battersea Evolution, over a hundred yards from the pavillion where the car auction is being held

Arguments ensue between protesters and police

but police tell them that the Evolution site is private land and the owners refuse them permission to enter

UVW General Secretary Petross Elia argues with police
