Solidarity with Sweets Way arrestees

Willesden Magistrate's Court, London. Fri 18 Dec 2015

Police had told protesters they could not put the banners on the fence in front of the court

So they stood and held them just in front

The two banners together read '#Jistice4Sweet16' but they had to leave a gap in the middle for people to enter and leave

Around 20 people were spread out at the protest along the front of the court (more came later.)

A group from Brent pose for a photograph

After an hour or so, people hung the banners on the fence around an emptybuilding across the road

People put uyp a third banner with the message 'Guilty of Caring' but got told to take it down by other protesters

as their had not yet been a guilty verdict

People get together and sing some anti-austerity Christmas carols

The protesters get a report from inside the court
I had to leave before the verdict and sentence but today's defendants
were given a conditional discharge but had to pay court costs of £500.
