Stand Up to Lambeth Council

Windrush Square, Brixton, London. Sat 8 Oct 2016

The Hemans Estate in Vauxhall is under threat from Lambeth Council

Ten libraries are being 'stolen' byt Lambeth and some given to a private gym company to run

People were asked to wear pink for the protest

Andrew Coopers poster shows some of the reasons people are fighting Lambeth

and he holds his 4-headed sculpture of the villians of Lambeth Council: Lambeth Labour leader Lib Peck, Cabinet Member for Housing Cllr Matthew Bennett, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Business and Culture Jack Hopkins and Sue Foster, Strategic Director, Neighbourhoods and Growth.

Despite it being a protest against the Labour Council, the Labour party came with a stall

people argued with them and asked them to leave

 but they refused

and police came to protect them

Savills are a leading agency in social cleansing and Lambeth works with them

 Andrew points out Liz Peck

#Save414 - the legendary Club 414 on Coldharbour Lane in Brixton
