St Pancras Cruising Club
Gasholders London - built inside the relocated triplet constructed
between 1860 and 1880. They were
dismantled in 2001 for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link to be built. Originally
they were on the other side of the canal
around 400 metres south of there current site. Another gasholder, seen beyond
them is now on a small park.
The 1872 Grade II Listed watertower, designed by Sir George Gilbert
Sott has also been moved around 600m;
Only the top could be moved and it had to be put on a new plinth -
using similar bricks but loking very new.
