Houses of Parliament, London. Fri 29 Mar 2019
Thousands of people Hunger striming in Prisons - and some are shown
on the aprons some of the protesters wear
A police officer speaks with the protesters and asks them to move
a few yards down the road
One man holds a banner showing Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, in
Turkish prison since 1999. The hunger
strikers want him to be brought out of solitary confinement and released
Leyla Guven, a Kurdish MP in the Turkish Parliament began her hunger
strike on 7th November
People line up with the banner for a photograph.
The two people on each side of the organiser have been on hunger strike
for almost 2 weeks
I reminded this woman I had photographed her at the front of the march
calling for the return of Anna Campbell's body
