Protest defends freedom of speech

Trafalgar Square, London. Tue 15 Oct 2019

A small group of mainly Green Party protesters had gathered in Trafalgar Square to protest for freedom of speech

Among them was Sian Berry, co-leader of the Green Party

They formed a group at the bottom of the steps

at right are Rupert Read of XR and peace activist Angie Zelter

I recognised several of the others as Green MEPs

They walked slowly across Trafalgar Square carrying posters. Molly Scott Cato's reads 'Peaceful Protest Is A Human Right'

They walked toward the line of police in front of Nelson's Column then turned and walked back

Sians poster asks 'Mayor Khan Was This On Your Orders?' (it seems it wasn't)
